私たちの身のまわりの環境地図作品展とは？

不思議に思うこと・調べたこと・考えたことを地図にしよう！

「私たちの身のまわりの環境地図作品展」は1991年より開催している世界規模の地図作品展です。毎年多くの児童･生徒のみなさんに作品を応募いただいています。環境地図というと何かむずかしいものを想像するかもしれませんが,そんなことはありません。
募集作品の内容は,身のまわりの環境について自分で調査したこと,観察したこと,考えたことを地図にしたものです。
自宅の周辺をながめてみましょう。何か気がつくことはありませんか？何でもいいのです。見て聞いて感じることがあるでしょう。そこに何かヒントがあるはずです。
また,作品のテーマは「自由テーマ」か「指定テーマ」のいずれかを選んで作成します。身のまわりの環境地図を作ることを通し,計画の立案･調査準備,環境の観察,記録,地図作り,地図の読み取り･考察・発表など,総合的な学習をすることができます。
This map contest started in 1991 and commemorates the 30th anniversary in 2020. Everyone can make one's own environmental map.
Go outside and look around. Anything you are interested can lead you to your own environmental map.
You may choose a "free theme" or a "specific theme" of each year. Through your practice of making an environmental map, you can learn project planning, preparation.

また作品展の会場で,全国や海外から訪れた地図の好きな人たちとイベントに参加し,学びあうことで,交流の輪を広げることが出来ます。もちろん,優秀作品に選ばれた地図作品は作品展会場で展示され,表彰されます。
ホームページの中では,これまでに作られたいろいろな環境地図を見ることができます。
これらの作品を参考にして,みなさんも環境地図を作ってみてはいかがでしょうか ？
Through your participation in the map exhibition and related events, you can make friends with map-lovers from many different regions. The award-winning maps are commended and displayed during the exhibition.
There are many examples of environmental map. Look at them, and try to make you own map.
